As I was going to class after having dropped off my timesheet in payroll, I realized that I was in an exceptionally good mood. I literally had to fight the urge to go sprinting across campus to class. It was scary. I don't know if it's just the fact that I spent a good chunk of the morning writing for NaNoWriMo or if I was just in a creepy good mood. This was especially odd because I tried to burn a DVD last night and my computer randomly decided to die sometime during the burn.
I started attempting to burn another DVD this afternoon (this makes the third attempt) and things seemed to be going well. And then, about two minutes ago, I moved my laptop and accidentally pulled the USB cables. So, this one may be a bust as well. I'll just have to wait and see. The counter says that there is still another two hours and forty five minutes to go. *looks at clock* I may or may not stay up to see it finish.
A Wal-Mart run is starting to look like a distinct possibility for my future. I don't really want to go tonight, but since I can't do much on the computer while this thing burns, it may be a good way to pass the time. And I need to get more DVDs to burn with and we need toilet paper. Eh, maybe.
As an update on NaNoWriMo, I wrote three typed pages and finished the first scene. The only reason why I didn't write further was because I wasn't sure if I wanted Sam to visit the White House or the Pentagon and then I realized that I didn't know when the President was named in SG-1. So I had to change a little bit of the timeline. But the story was going to go AU anyway.
I need to check my word count, but I know I have at least 1200 and 3 pages.
In final news, my DVD burning looks like it is finally definitely working. And Kaedy is spinning on our floor and angsting. I'm really having to bite my tongue not to laugh because some of this seems so absurd, but I know that she is really serious, so I'm not.
