My friends, I did it. It only took me five months and a helluva lot of my dignity, but I did it.
I am now current with Lost. Including tonight's episode.
Dear Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof:
How dare you. How motherfucking dare you? You put us through a possibly literal Hell with some of these relationships, and then you say "fuck 'em" to all of them. Desmond's down a well with little-to-no chance of being brought back to Penny, and then you GO AND KILL SUN AND JIN. Granted, they're finally together, but YOU KILLED SUN AND JIN.
Seriously, go fuck yourselves. If I wasn't so damned emotionally invested in your Craphole Island and whatever the fuck else you've got up your sleeve for the next three weeks, I'd say "fuck you" to Lost and never look back.
And I realize that you've got three more episodes, and that people can come back from the dead. Here's what I want to see in the series finale:
- Sawyer with Kate (*)
- Desmond back with Penny on the mainland with Wee Charlie
- Jack took Jacob's place on the island
My *: My current crackpot theory is that both Jack and Sawyer will stay on the island: Jack will be the new Jacob, and Sawyer will become the new Man in Black. My other crackpot theory is that Sawyer will have to die at the end of the series, because he was my favorite for the longest. Although, if I have to be honest, Ben will have to die at the end of the series in the "You Can Beat Death But You Can't Beat Jack Bristow" moment every series finale should have. (fast-forward to 5:13 if you don't want to bawl at Jennifer Garner trying to cry.)
In short, Cuselof (Lindeluse? What are we calling them now?), I kind of hate you in this moment. A lot. IF DESMOND AND PENNY DO NOT GET TO BE TOGETHER IN ANY REALITY, I WILL FUCKING CUT A MOTHERFUCKING BITCH.
