I sent my Oscar predictions to Pam, Brad, and Flexo before the show. Flexo wrote back:
"I think Anne Hathaway is going to win Best Actress."
I responded:
All right then, my friend - if I'm wrong, and Anne Hathaway wins, I will forgive all the days/shifts you owe me, and I will supply you with enough compressed air that you would be able to turn them into a jet pack if you wanted.
HOWEVER. If I am right, and Kate Winslet wins, I OWN YOU. I can call you with less than 24 hours notice and you will take my shift. You will do the majority of Time and Attendance, and also, you will sing the "Alaina's Always Right" song, in the break room, on a day of my choosing, in front of anyone I want.
If neither Anne Hathaway nor Kate Winslet win, we shake hands and all is well.
IT'S ON.
