I've read a great deal of Holocaust survivor literature, and last year I was lucky enough to hear a survivor speak in person. But yesterday was the first time I had the good fortune to break bread with one.

Just a little while ago I came back from the last stretch of a talk (all I was able to see since I'm on the clock...at least the school videotaped it) by a Holocaust survivor named Morris Rosenblatt. He survived the ghetto in Lodz, Poland, and the death camp at Matthausen (among other concentration camps), then served briefly in the Israeli army. ( Read more... )
