It is currently 100 outside!
Today I left the apartment and went downtown to meet Ryan for lunch. I felt like I was going to melt as I rode my bike and realized why when I saw Ryan and he informed me that with the heat index it was 110 outside. Now that's hot.
I wandered for a bit downtown, went to the public library and got a library card, and looked for posters. It is actually sort of cute around here. I really need to give this town more of a chance.
I decided too to e-mail another grad student in my lab and see if I can go out into the field with her this week. Even though it might be miserably hot, at least I'd start to get my bearings straight and meet some people.
I think I'll go watch a Bollywood movie. It will be good when I have to work. All of this freedom has turned me into a couch potato. :(
