the radiation comes from the future of course. and of course humans never actually witness the event; we only come close enough to destroy all life as we know it.

vid:"no, i know."
you see in another life vid hunted and killed pontis pilot, yet failed to assassinate stalin. he would have killed stalin in june of 1915, vid had all the neccessary intellegence, but alas a defender from the 24th century's Endangered Red Facist Survival Army manufactured the earthquake that destroyed the coffee plantation that would ve produced the fated poisoned cuppa that stalin never drank.
mary: "would you go back and try to save jesus from the cross?"
vid:"no, better men than have tried that, and just look what happened. no, i go back for his parties and to hear him speak."
mary:"oh, i want to go hear his sermon on the mound. can we go, please?"
vid:"sh't no, its soldout. you have to get tickets way in advance, and the tickets wont even go on sale for another 250 years. why dont we go to pearl harbor instead."
mary: "okay, but i need to get sunscreen before we go."
