Things that I COULD do as hobbies, but don't.
Maybe I should practice drawing. It wouldn't really work unless I could overcome my clumsiness...
Superficially, my drawings sometimes look ok, but I can only draw, like, 2 poses. I need to learn to do that whole "sketching beforehand" thing. Most of the time I don't have a plan...I just pick up a pencil and go. I guess there are only so many things you can do where improvisation works. But you have a better chance of drawing well on a whim than you do of writing well on a whim. I mean, I guess either way, you need to have your idea beforehand.
Guh, I'm working on this epic poster thing...but there's this one part that I can't get right. I'll do it soon enough, but I guess it will have to be after I get a new mouse. Maybe a wireless one? I don't know if that would be especially useful...I think I'd rather have a wireless keyboard. Oh, I know that they make a lot of computer mice USB-plugins now. I'll have to figure that one out later...
Ah, I keep coming back to the stupid mouse.
I also thought, "Maybe this winter I should learn to snowboard." I think Becca left hers around the house...man, she picked up a lot of hobbies that she never really continued with. Snowboarding, guitar...she has good taste, though. I've wanted to take up those hobbies too. I just never have.
I don't want it to be like I'm trying to impersonate her. Why did she have to suddenly become interested in cool stuff like that and then drop them immediately? I mean, no one's going to call me out on it...I mean, no one called Jessica out on suddenly wanting to play piano. ,_,
And then there was also that sewing thing I was planning to work on.
There's plenty of stuff for me to do. I just don't have the discipline or the resources to do any of them. But there's always MMOs to play. Man, how pathetic...
Oh man, Wanted is out on DVD. Dear God, that was the worst movie I've ever seen. I think I might have to pirate it and record my commentary on it, like director's commentary, only by someone not involved in the production. But ragh, pirating is a lot of effort. Maybe there's digital copy on the DVD...then I can rent it and save it? I dunno if that would enable me to edit it, though. If I had any reason to, I could get into video editing, too.
I'm interested in a bit of everything, but I'm not really passionate about anything.
