Some scientists are saying that the entire universe may be a hologram. The article has a pretty good layman's explanation of what the hell they mean by that. Which is good, because otherwise I'd have no clue. But it makes me happy that humans are building these crazy contraptions to experiment with the fundamental properties of the universe.

Researchers at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, have discovered a strong correlation between a person's political attitudes and the strength of their autonomic fear response. In a nutshell, conservatives are a bunch of scaredy-cats. Maybe that's why Republicans have so much success with their fear-mongering.
