sorry it has been so long
I've been attempting to get various academic administration offices to actually correspond with me. While I wait by the phone for someone who promised to call by end of business today, I figured I'd post something.
In the last few days, I've spent odd hours going through my firefox bookmarks for abandoned stories and ones I just don't like anymore. In the process, I rediscovered one of my favorite NCIS fics, and it sparked a bunny. I'm not sure if I can write it, but I might at some point.
I've noticed that there are a lot of military/civvie couples in fandom. My favorites have to be Charlie/Ian (Numb3rs), Charlie/Colby (Numb3rs)--though not in the same fic, its just weird--Steve/Danny (new H50), and the fic that birthed this bunny, Life for Rent by race the ace, a Callen/OMC-a chef.
Maybe a Wo Fat case with navy personnel (starting during active duty extending into reserves time, thus getting Hawaii and LA, both NCIS and FBI) acting as runners. I could see G, Steve, and Ian knowing each other in various combinations through special ops (I always think of Ian as Marines, don't know if this is correct, but would still work if Army...besides, Danny could do his Army/Navy annoyance routine), there could even be name recognition by Steve via Chris, his Intel friend.
G + Steve start out each end of the investigation, need more manpower, call in FBI 'hunter'- get Ian
Everyone meets in LA for trial prep, over the summer so bring Danny and Grace for vacay (2 wks in LA, one week in Jersey)
