Highlights yes/no??

Hey, madradhair-ers! I'm posting because I'm considering getting highlights in my hair. I've never dyed or bleached it or anything, but since I'm pooor I'd like to do it myself. I want to do some subtle highlights, but I'm not sure what the best way to go about doing it would be.

i say yes to highlights :) you will have to be very very careful if you do use bleach. my natural hair color is the same as yours (i wish i could get it back!) and i know how fast bleach can lighten blonde hair haha. i have been doing my own hair for years, it's not tough to lighten a few strands throughout.
i would suggest maybe grabbing a box of hair dye that is just a few shades lighter than your color, then you know that it won't lighten too much.

i would go to a hair school... its pretty cheap for highlights, and if they mess up, its re-done for free.. if you mess up, you're just screwed. but i think highlights would look awesome. :)

I say yes for highlights. I wouldn't do anything chunky, just some thin ones to brighten it up. =)

go to a hair school. or if you're thinking lowlights just get a semipermanent toner so u can keep your very nice soft virgin hair!
