Quick Updates

Yesterday I went to the Emerald Necklace in with some SCA ladies (and Colette and Lauren) for High Tea. It was quite lovely! I drank serious amount of tea and felt crazy caffeinated afterwards.

Belly dance practice has been going well. We are putting the finishing touches on our second choreography (Ungodly Fruit by Wax Tailor). I have the chore of making the next choreography and writing the script for the show. It's going to take a lot of work, so I'm going to have some of the girls help me out. Hopefully we'll have everything set for our show at April's Steampunk Symposium.

Chris is having some money troubles. He wants to get his teeth fixed up but he doesn't have dental insurance. Axel was holding her tail funny this past week and he wanted to take her to the vet, but didn't have the money. Fortunately, it looks like his grandparents will help him with the dental stuff and Axel is holding her tail normally again. So it looks like things aren't as urgent, but he spend a good couple of nights stressing out about how he was going to pay for the things he needed.

I just joined Rhiannan's game on Tuesday nights with Erick and Brandon. It's a really fun game. I'm sad it's only bi-weekly and we don't meet tomorrow. Al's game is going pretty well. We are in Ills and running away from stupidly overpowered Giants and such. I haven't been going to Tom's game as much because it keeps falling on date's like Chris's birthday (we went to Wasabi), or Valentine's day (no plans yet).

I've been trying to go to the gym at least twice a week. I've gotten to the point where I can run a mile without stopping. I can do fifty sit-ups (but I still need breaks) and 20 lady push ups. Physical fitness, watch out! I'm coming for you! It's kind of hard to find the time, though. It always seems like I have a bijillion things to do all week. Usually it's all fun stuff, so I don't want to give any of it up.

On Saturday I went to Justine's for a Mel Brooks movie marathon. Her friend Cliff has never seen any of the Mel Brooks movies so we all got together to watch them. It was a nice group of people who came and we got Indian take-out which was delicious! It's been so long since I've seen my favorites and I saw a new one as well, To Be or Not To Be. It's much darker than some of his other movies, but still very entertaining.

Still haven't started AssCreed2. Really the only game I've been playing recently is Dance Central 3, and that's usually on nights where it's too late to go to the gym and I'm feeling antsy.
