You do get to meet random people, though. It's fascinating. And it's local, and an alarming amount of people have come in and gone "why, if it isn't Amy behind the bar!" or, "You'd be Mel's daughter, right?" - and I have NO idea who they are. :/

This one guy was my nextdoor-but-one neighbour, and got incredibly huffy and puffed out his chest when I didn't know who he was! He asked to put a pint on his tab, see, t'was unavoidable. "But - but everybody knows me!" My sarcastic side had to be strangled into submission at that, I tell you.

I totally get what you mean. It's the same for me when I'm back in my hometown visiting my family. EVERYBODY goes "Hey, you're Corina's daughter, right?, how is she?" and I used to hate it.

Congratulations on your job! It must be really exciting to work in a bar where you get to talk about anything with anybody...mmm... *Tanky thinks she should find a job in a bar too*

Do you look like your mother? Because you really couldn't tell with me and my mum - yet lots of people somehow seem to know. :O Really weird. Thankfully, she's popular with that crowd (hangs out at the pub, actually) so it's not negative. Yet. ;)

Thank you! :D It is really nice, actually - though a bit boring sometimes, it's quite... peaceful, in a way. I'd recommend it. :D

well...I sort of look like her, I guess. Specially from "behind" (my family's trade mark. All women in my family seem to be related to J.LO) LOL!!!

I feel so god-awful guilty, I've still not read "Hot Soak"!

As it turns out, I might be meeting an LJ'er in about twelve hours' time.

Have I ever told you I spent most of my free time during my five years of high school in bars? Cafe Falstaff in Maastricht, and either Ireland's Four Courts or Summer's in Arlington Court House. Yeah, I'm a bartender's best friend. I leave what must be twenty-five percent tips just for a couple drinks and an order of fries.

There's a rough-looking bloke as the chef, who's actually completely pleasant and friendly - nice surprise. Rip-roaring cook too, makes these really delicate salmon twirls, would never think to look at him. It's so funny. :)

It sounds like you're enjoying your work! Congrats! *Hug*

Tankeee *hugs back*

*bursts out laughing* I hope your joking, unless you took our discussion on of context! :D You comment the most out of my friends on normal things like this! :B

Snow bowling. Hitting the ice skaters is just too fun, haha. I used to be really good at that game, but I forgot about the site for a long while... Had the link tucked away in my del.icio.us account though, so while I was bored the other day, I went on over. Fun stuff.

(There's lot's of good stuff in that account. Just type in del.icio.us/cloudkicker and go to the entertainment tag.)

Aye - just call my Madam R. ;) *LAUGHS TOO LOUDLY*

Well it is a jolly good place! :D Aw, that's so lovely for you to say - you made me want to check out the newsagent stands and gigantic slugs in Poland! XD Oh, and to art-up my basementbedroom... I've actually got a collection of photographs and such I want to make a collab out of. Hm.

Yeah - it bloody hurt, I'm telling you! ;) And hah - I think you were one of my worst spam victims - but how was I to ignore all those lovely art and pic posts? You are a busy bee these days, Cork. *envies*
