Well, that was fun.

I have now come to an end of the job at Cymer.  They had me there for a full year as a temp.  My one year mark was on the 19th of April.  In the months prior, my boss at Cymer told me my position was funded through the end of the year and that he was all for getting me hired on as a regular Cymer employee.  A couple of weeks ( Read more... )

Well, it's now been one whole month, officially, that I've been living out here in the Mile High City(tm).

And it's gone pretty damn good so far.

Ah yes, the life of a contractor!

One of the primary reasons companies make use of contractor labor is the unencumbered nature of the employment.  Contractors are but temp workers and have even less presumption of stability at the workplace in terms of remaining on any job.  Monday, the 10th, demonstrated that to me in spades.
