Signed up for the GMAT. May 26th.
One of the benefits of the new job is tuition remission: there is some amount of free tuition available for me to go to graduate school in the UM system. We're not entirely sure how much. Theoretically a degree's worth, but the rules aren't entirely straightforward. Seems like in practice the benefit is used almost exclusively to get the children of employees undergraduate degrees, so the benefits people are still brushing up on the graduate rules.
I'm looking at the part time MBA programs at the
Robert H. Smith School and
UMUC. I'm not interested in anything that would have me commuting to College Park, and most of the
UMB grad programs are in medicine, so I've been focusing on those options.
I only just realized that
University of Baltimore is included in the tuition remission program, so that opens things up a bit. Their programs all accept the GMAT for admission, though, so I'm not losing options there. I think a business degree probably makes the most sense for me, but hey,
Master of Public Administration or
Negotiations and Conflict Management could be a thing too... Choices! It's exciting.
