I just want to say that I'm really going to miss this show and miss the live discussions. I hadn't done them in a couple years and was sad to come here tonight and see there hasn't been much activity. If anybody reads this that had been a part of previous discussions, I thank you for clearing up confusions, making me laugh, and quoting to no end. It has been a fun ride. Thank you and goodbye.

I was happy for Peggy, Stan and Joan. But if I must be honest, my reaction to Don's "self-actualization" struck me as . . . well, quick and contrived. Sorry. If it had been stretched out a little more, I probably would have been more satisfied. Or else, end the series with his suicide. But since Weiner had decided to bump off Betty, I guess that was out of the question.

I haven't commented here in years, but I've always kept up with this community and loved it ever since I discovered the show just before they aired the 2nd season. Thanks for always keeping up with this awesome community, being an all around great mod, and always opening up these fun discussions. This show has been through so many interesting parts of my life, it's been super interesting seeing that and sharing it with others too!

I really loved Peggy and Roger's conclusions. Don's was kind of meh. I agree that it was too quick. Betty's ending was rushed, too.

Too much screen time this episode was devoted to Stephanie. I didn't really care about her story to begin with, and especially not in the final episode. The characters I was really attached to and loved for years were hurried through. Doesn't seem fair.

I wondered the same thing: why so much of HER? I wanted to see more of the main characters and it's not like I could even remember Stephanie's name.

I agree too. And that random guy, with the refrigerator monologue, got the most poignant speech. Too little air time with the people we wanted to see.

I think Don wanted Stephanie to be Anna Draper so badly, but she just isn't. I'm er, old enough to remember that final advert, and it was kind of horrible and this huge phenomenon. They took the coke part out and made it a regular song, too, and you could not escape it, and it's one of those childhood traumas. ;-) But it was a fitting ending for him -- his self-realization might have been that he is exactly what he was pretending to be and has no deeper self ( ... )
