I think Don wanted Stephanie to be Anna Draper so badly, but she just isn't. I'm er, old enough to remember that final advert, and it was kind of horrible and this huge phenomenon. They took the coke part out and made it a regular song, too, and you could not escape it, and it's one of those childhood traumas. ;-) But it was a fitting ending for him -- his self-realization might have been that he is exactly what he was pretending to be and has no deeper self.

Peggy/Stan was so last minute and abruptly handled, but I'm so glad they went there. We've seen so many unequal relationships on this show, where women were objects or prizes, and to see two close friends who know each other well getting into what will clearly be a supportive and equal relationship -- yay for that!

And hurray for Joan. She began the show using her sexuality in the workplace as Roger's mistress, and coaching Peggy to try to do the same. She ended the show not choosing a relationship over her own independence, and not letting a man dictate what she does. Good for her choosing not to be one of the idle rich.

Roger and Marie totally deserve each other, in both the good and the bad ways, and weirdly, I think they will make it. And yay for him ending up with someone age appropriate after wife 2.

Boo for what they did to Betty, but Sally really stepped up and showed the amazing person she will grow into being (despite having really two pretty serious train wrecks as parents.)

And Pete finally learned not to be an a**hole in those last few episodes, so even though he's the last character I wanted to see get a happy ending, good for him.
