You've got egg on ya.

There are two ways to dehydrate eggs.  One way is to blend up the eggs, and dehydrate them raw.  The other way to to blend them up, cook them into a scramble, and then dehydrate them, cooked.  Both require inserting some kind of mesh sheet, to catch the micro chunks or liquid.  I don't have that.  I just have a mesh screen.  Wider than should be used.  So, I chose the scrambled option, thinking I would put the screen holding eggs over a shelf holding more scramble eggs.  That way, anything falling through the screen would be caught by the shelf.

Well, I've finished all the scrambling - 2 dozen eggs - and now they are in the dehydrator.  Here is the rest of the story..

I was never any good at scrambling eggs.  Never got them to brown, without caking and burning the pan.  While I was busy, writing the first paragraph of this post, the pan of liquid eggs solidified into one round mat.  And I kind of liked that.  So, I just flipped that over, and then put it onto the mesh screen.  It is basically blocks, nay little continents, of egg - not scrambled at all.  Since they didn;t lose as much water while cooking, they will take longer in the dehydrator.  So that was about 8 eggs.

The other 16 eggs were all scrambled and cooked down.  They filled up the dehydrator pan or shelf.  Which I put underneath the screened mesh, even though those eggs won't shed much at all.  It should turn out fine.  I doubt, though, that this batch of 24 eggs will fill up much of the 80 Fl Oz mason jar I have for them.  Maybe about 1/4th.  So, I'll have to go through this long, belaboured process 3 more times in the future.  In the mean time, I'll set the mason jar in the fridge, lid slightly ajar, so as to dehydrate them more, or at least keep them stable,

This is very good protein for survival.  Eggs supposedly fight the spike protein.  And they have not, as yet, been injected with mRNA vaccines.  Unless that's what they did when the price went up, during the Avian Flu pandemic.  Rest assured that Bill Gates is working on genetically altered depopulation eggs.

When I was blending these eggs, I added:

salt
onion powder / minced onion
dehydrated leek - (which I am going to buy more of - great to have around!
basil
parsley
garlic salt
black pepper
(no milk, water or tomatoes)

This was a nice mix, except too much onion and not enough salt.  Note that, as the eggs cook, and also dehydrate, they will decrease in volume, and the spices will become more concentrated.  So you don't need a lot of spice, really.

Salt helps preserve food even longer.

Ha!  I found a cup full of about two inches of wine, this morning.  So, I added a little V8, and had that as a treat.  It was full of salt!  I forgot that I had used that cup to collect salt from the popcorn, and later just thrown the rest of the wine in!  Ach!

There's egg on my face!

It's always good when one project is completed.  It helps one look forward to the next, whatever that may be.  And this is so even if the completed project was superfluous or extra.  Since I have CFS, I start so many projects, and leave them to be completed later.  So, this place never really gets tidy.  I used to hate it when my former LL did her annual November check on the place, because it meant I had to put away all the chaotically organised projects, only to be dug out gradually later(!)  And November was a bad time, because I got no cleaning done during the summer heat, and it took all of my time and effort just to prepare for Halloween.

Springtime, when temps are moderately cool, and there is no mowing yet to be done, and autumn, after the last mow, and before the first snow - these are the best times for cleaning indoors.  Except for the whole Halloween thing.  And Thanksgiving.
