I put up newly-washed diaphanous curtains so I can keep an eye on the guy next door.  There is a small emerald green one over the back/side door, which I have always liked.  I used it at the previous apt., and it works well.  And - I put up the roll-up bamboo blind which has a picture of a big smiling sun on it, facing it outwards.  So, this was kind of a message to the people on the other side of me that I meant no harm.  Also nice to have a big face looking out upon the side yard, just to creep out any ne're-do-wells who might be sneaking thereabout.

I have been considering putting up a white roll-up "bamboo" blind outside, in front of the back/side "porch," (which would not obscure my view where it counts), as a windbreak and semi-privacy thing.  I had an idea to paint a large shamrock on it.  But have been wavering due to the project mentioned a few posts ago.  I might still get it, but the shamrock would be a waste of time and money, considering.  I also thought of putting a clear tarp over the side area of the deck, through which I take my dog, to keep ice, snow and rain accumulating there and breaking my neck.  But I am calling off that idea now.  I am calling off virtually all ideas of spending money on this house, such as security lights, alarms, cameras, and whatever.

I take my dog out at 8:am.  At around 10:am, the narcissist next door takes his dog out, and lets her piss by the back/side porch.  This time, he must have been out at 8:30am.  So I raced to get my pants and boots on, getting ready to catch him and confront him, if need be.  Not sure he ever came that close this time.  And by his usual time, 10:am, he was nowhere to be seen.  Maybe I scared him.  By the way, I know he is a narcissist and not a psychopath, because he actually cares for a dog, and a gf.  Not that evil villains don't have their creepy little pets, as in the movies.  But I'm pretty sure this guy is not psycho.  He just has the same contagious passive-aggressive egoism that is epidemic in this city.  (Recall my posts of, "The Crazy Gay Guy On The Corner"). I get the sense that he abuses his gf, and so his dog, though. He may have been abused as a child, if, in fact, it was his father who went to jail for child porn.

So, now it is time to rest, and to move on to other business.  My dog appears to want to go back outside again.  Two hours early.  I think the sound of Dan Bonagino's boisterous, complaining rants unsettles him. (There he goes - he's asleep). (Damn it, he is awake again, and badgering me!)  (Now he's back down again).
