Sunday night thoughts
I know, I haven't said much all weekend. Haven't been doing much. Quiet weekend at home.
I spent most of the weekend writing, chatting with my BBM ficcer friends, doing a few things around the house. Vacuumed the stairs, both sets, which Boogaloo and I both agree is one of the worst household chores ever. Today I did ALL my laundry, which I'd been putting off.
Not much to report in the home-improvement front. Everything's kind of on hold until I can get the bookshelves, which ought to be this week. I'm waiting to see exactly how much of my lump-sum raise I'm getting this week (I'll get the rest in January). After that I'll probably post some pictures once everything's in place.
Tomorrow's task is to pick up some photo boxes so I can get my big picture-organizing project off the dining room table and out of everyone's hair. The good news about spending days organizing one's photos is that hey...I'll never be adding any more photos to it! Now they go right onto the hard drive, where I have an equally complicated filing system for them.
Since there was some interest here on my personal LJ about the Brokeback Mountain fic rec I made a few weeks ago, tomorrow I'll probably put up a list of all the BBM fics that I particularly recommend. Since reading the Laramie Saga I've found my appetite for good BBM fic rekindled and I've been reading a lot of things in the last week that I'd skipped or never got started on.
