The song that has took hundreds of lives...

Original version:
It is autumn and the leaves are falling
All love has died on earth
The wind is weeping with sorrowful tears
My heart will never hope for a new spring again
My tears and my sorrows are all in vain
People are heartless, greedy and wicked...

Love has died!

The world has come to its end, hope has ceased to have a meaning
Cities are being wiped out, shrapnel is making music
Meadows are coloured red with human blood
There are dead people on the streets everywhere
I will say another quiet prayer:
People are sinners, Lord, they make mistakes...

The world has ended!

Sarah McLachlan verson:
sunday is gloomy,
my hours are slumberless
dear as the shadows
i live with are numberless
little white flowers
will never awaken you
not where the black culture's
sorrow has taken you
angels have no thoughts
of ever returning you
wouldn't they be angry
if i thought of joining you?

gloomy sunday

gloomy sunday
with shadows i spend it all
my heart and i
have decided to end it all
soon there'll be candles
and prayers that i say i know
but let them not weep
let them know
that i'm glad to go
for death is no dream
and in death i'm caressing you
with the last
breath of my soul
i'll be blessing you

gloomy sunday

dreaming, i was only dreaming
i awake and i find
you asleep in the deep of my heart
deep

darling i hope
that my dream never haunted you
my heart is telling you
how much i wanted you
gloomy sunday

Such a dark and depressing tune..
This banned song was responsible for suicides of hundreds of people. The composer himself, committed suicide in 1968.
