Whats with Singaporeans and their crazy handphone fetish anyway?! Starhub at Plaza Singapura was literally swarming with these crazy people.
So, just why exactly is the handphone industry booming?
1) The newest handphones amuse Singaporeans so much they just HAVE to get their hands on one.
2) Nothing satisfies them as much as having one of these in their pockets. It practically puts a smile :) on their faces.
3) Typical handphone crazed Singaporean : I think i look cool with my new 'X000A'.
4) They have absolutely nothing else which is worth spending a good 500 bucks on.
Handphone retail shops must top the list of 'Favourite hang-out spots in Singapore'. Seriously, i have seen one too many handphone enthusiasts scrutinze display sets as though they're in a museum of some sort. "WOW.... this is sooo cool..." I won't be surprised to see one drooling in front of those glass cabinets.
And, in case you have not realised, purchase queues can match the queue at Zouk on a good Friday night. I just don't see how Singaporeans can ever buy so many of these communication devices.
