Jeremy Renner, yay!

So, I finally rented "Mission:Impossible Ghost Protocol." Hands down, the best thing about the movie was Jeremy Renner. He was awesome. Forget Tom Cruise, let's have the next MI movie be all about him. LOL.

On a related note, I wish my mood theme had one for "obsessed." Heh.

I have that downloaded, really need to watch it. Not going to be confused if I haven't seen the others, am I? I can only handle so much Tom Cruise...

I have seen the others, so I'm probably not the best judge. But I think you'll be fine. Cruise's character is the only one from the other movies that I can remember, except for a couple cameos at the end.

And Jeremy Renner!!! Is. Awesome. Did I mention that? He's so .... eeee! You just need to see it.

I hadn't seen any of the others and I followed it just fine. Totally worth it for everyone else on the team, and even Cruise is tolerable when he's interacting with them. The big long solo action scene with him and the baddie was fast forward material, though.

LOL, good to know. Something I can add to my 'to watch' list for summer vacay (along with the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes and maybe the most recent Hulk movie if I'm feeling brave, because srs bsns I still have no idea how to write Bruce.

I thought that Hulk movie was not bad. My boss loaned me that one and the Ang Lee version, which I hated. But I had such low expectations for both of them in the first place that the Edward Norton version was better than I thought it would be.

That said, I'm glad they got Mark Ruffalo to play Bruce in the Avengers. I like him better. I would totally ship Bruce/Natasha if C/N hadn't taken over my brain.

Good to know. And yes, Bruce and Natasha would have possibilities if only from a purely-angsty perspective, since I think it would take a while for her to be really comfortable around him. (With everything else that happens in the movie, I think it's interesting that the times we see her really rattled are Hulk-related. Someone theorized that it's because the Hulk isn't exactly receptive/vulnerable to her charms/acting abilities the way, say, Loki is).
