Maddie stared at the computer screen, her eyes welling up. As she reached over for a kleenex, she heard her sister burst through the front door, screaming.
"I'M GETTING MAAAAARRIED!"
Say what?
Madison went into the entrance to see what the commotion was about. Mrs. Holiday was clutching
left hand, while Mr. Holiday laughed with

"What's going on?" Madison asked. Anina ran to give her little sister a hug, grinning from ear to ear.
"Henry proposed! Look!" she answered excitedly, flashing her stunning
. "He brought me to Tavern on the Green, and had each waiter bring me a dozen white roses. The last waiter came with one pink rose, and the ring was tied to the stem." Anina stopped to take a breath, then smiled to her now-fiancé. "Henry untied the ring, got down on one knee, and proposed! It was so romantic!"
Madison absorbed all this information, barely moving. She knew she should be ecstatic for her sister, but her heart pinched everytime she thought about love. She did, however, manage to crack a small smile.
"Well, congratulations, you two. I'm so happy for you!"
After hugging both Anina and Henry, Maddie slipped away to her room and started to cry. I'm so alone.
