Well now, in the past I've talked about Al Lowe not being quite dead yet and still publishing his brand of humor into computer games, now, I'm going with movies. Who all here remembers Mystery Science Theatre 3000? Well, Micheal J. Nelson, the writer and brain behind the 11 season series, has got a new schtick going on. No longer going with the classic movies for the budget, he started tackling the new movies, creating his own brand of commentaries.
No longer is Tom Servo or Crow T. Robot going to be on the series, but, their voices are going to show up, they will just be listed by name, Kevin Murphy and Trace Beaulieu, amongst the many others who will be joining in on the farcical commentaries offered.
Now, on the downside, the commentaries aren't free over at
rifftrax.com, but, at 3.99 US a pop, it's a hella lot cheaper than going to a movie. Hell, load it onto your iPod when going to see a horrible movie. God knows, there are a couple of stinkers out there that could use something to lighten them up.
