Latest weird LJ behavior
When I enter the URL of my journal in the menu bar, I sometimes get redirected to www.livejournal.com. If I try again it usually works correctly, but sometimes it takes a couple of tries. Clicking on a link has never produced this problem.
Has anyone else seen this?
Update: I think I've figured it out, and it's Firefox's fault. When I enter "madfilkentist.livejournal.com" in the menu bar, Firefox inexplicably puts an "https" in front of it instead of an "http". There's no such page with an HTTPS protocol, so LJ redirects me to its main page. This is part of Firefox's general stupidity in treating HTTP and HTTPS as interchangeable.
Update 2: No, it's worse than that. Even if I specify HTTP, Firefox changes it to HTTPS. Not always. Just sometimes. And apparently just for this one URL.
Firefox idiots, HTTPS is not a security-theater spelling of HTTP!
