Oh my god oh my god oh my god. Die Antwoord is in Los Angeles. It's a South African hiphop/rap/rave group on which I've been nomming recently. In my interview with marykae, I talked about them, and mentioned that they'd signed with Sony. That was bad information. They just signed with Interscope. You know that Irish-sounding song that they'd occasionally play on Deadliest Catch? One day a few weeks ago I had the presence of mind to scribble down some lyrics. And now I'm cleaning my desk off. Fever Ray
I've got this Pandora.com station running with no inputs but the band "Fever Ray." It's the solo incarnation of Karin Dreijer Andersson, previously one-half of the duo The Knife. This station is making me VERY HAPPY these days. I'm currently listening to Richard X's "Into You," which seamlessly mashes itself into Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You." ( Read more... )
