I don't really believe in a god or follow a religion. dunno -- it just never seemed to sync with me. Back when i was a kid being raised as a "devout Catholic" (tm) I was told that I was supposed to sync with the church and not the other way around.
Result was me finally seeing that it just wasn't going to work, being stiff and unnatural and fearful and suspicious - in addition to them expecting me to give huge quantities of cash so they could do whatever project they had in mind. New church! air conditioning! golf clubs for the Monsigneur? I don't know.
Remind me to tell you about the Pagan Babies program.

Anyway Richard likes the local Unitarian church because they have a lot of social activities. Also I think he's pretty spiritual. I most often go along because what the hell, it can't hurt. I just zone out during the boring parts.
Today we're going to an Indian feast complete with music at the church. Apparently this is a kind of thanksgiving type holiday so we'll see how it goes.
