The second of the last three episode drabbles of season 13 that I forget to post.

Summary: 13.22 Drabble. Sam's sorry for a lot of things.

The Apology
Sam's sorry for a lot of things.
He's sorry for not being a better hunter, for screwing up in that cave, and for getting himself killed.
He's sorry for allowing Lucifer to resurrect him, for bringing him here to the camp, and for putting civilians and his whole family in danger.
He's sorry for dying alone when he promised his brother they'd go together, and for the inevitable way Dean will be blaming himself for all of it.
So when Dean says he's got nothing to apologise for, Sam's relieved, he's grateful, but he's still sorry. He'll always be sorry.
A/N: I love that we finally got a bro!hug moment and I loved all the little things is this scene; what was said, what wasn't, and the body language of both boys. But what a pretty boy episode this was; the desaturation of the AU world, and Sam in that grey sweater. Lots to love peeps, lots to love.
