Last Man Standing
Sam feels...well, too much right now.
He's heart-heavy; thinking about a family of three that are no more, about deals and promises, and the terrible things you do for family. He's thinking about Max, and how he knows what it's like to be the last man standing.
He's bruised and broken in more ways than one. Those dolls sure know how to pack a punch, and he still feels weird after whatever Cas did.
So when he closes his eyes, forehead to glass, fatigue racing towards him like a bullet, he's out so hard there's no time to question why.
A/N: I loved this episode! It was heartbreaking in the best kind of way, but the feels about the twins and the parallels between them and the Winchesters were perfectly formed (from Sam's "Their mom's on a hunting trip and hasn't been home in a week", to bickering siblings, to Max doing whatever he can to bring his family back, and everything in between). I want more of the twins, and yes, I'd sure watch their spin off show! Like many others the h/c addict in me was singing at the possibilities for hurt Sam here, and even though I'm sure they overplayed it for dramatic effect, I wanted to explore that a little more in this drabble. Can't wait for more!!!
