And Then She Burned
She remembers this; the lead-heavy weight of blood on her hands, and an unclean feeling that will never scrub away.
She remembers this; the ice-cold dread of losing your family, and the burning need to save them no matter what the cost.
She remembers this; a hunter's life is not what she wanted for her boys, it's not the prayer she whispered to the Angel's who were supposed to be watching over her family.
She remembers this; the push and pull of hunting; to stay and protect your family, or leave to protect your soul.
Yes, she remembers it all.
A/N: I loved this episode, and I'm so excited to have our Show back! I wanted to focus a little on Mary for this drabble and seeing her struggle with everything she's faced; the push and pull of an old life she thought she'd left behind. I thought Sam Smith brought her A game, and I'm really excited to see where they're going to take Mary. There wasn't a dull moment for me, and I want more Show - give me more!!!
