Ah, I shall hunt out that post! With me I kind of half wonder if I hone in on my faults too which either makes other people pick up on them too...or just makes me hyperaware that they might be picking up on them. It's odd!
Thanks! It's not going so well so far mainly just research. It's going to be an Urban Fantasy based in my city which ties together some fairy tale elements and creatures such as gargoyles, gnomes and witches!
Fortunately I haven't had too many instances where people are pointing out my faults all the time. My grandmother is the main person that comes to mind in terms of that stuff, and fortunately I don't see her that often. I tend to be my own worst critic most of the time anyway.
I don't wear makeup ever but I knew at least a few people who were using the bareminerals stuff for awhile and they seemed to like it a lot.
I'm my own worst critic too so I don't need the constant reminders. I have to admit the main person who did this I don't really see so much anymore. But I think where they used to always be like 'You're so thoughtless' etc I imagine everyone else is thinking it too. I guess it comes into the whole inbred thing I have that my best isn't good enough. It's why I always try extra had at work and stuff but then you get into that whole the more you do, the less they appreciate and more the expect you to do thing.
Cool, I shall have to attack one of the department stores and see if I can get a tester.
So how are things with you? How goes your novel? x
I seem to keep bouncing between fine and down lately. Basically I'm okay until something happens to set me off and then it takes me a few days to get out of it. I'm getting pretty sick of it happening, really. :P
I recently got some reviews/feedback on the novel and did some editing which I hope improved it for the better. Mostly kind of baffled on how to get people to notice it now since I'm not very good at promoting myself.
Hopefully things will even up a bit for you soon! Swinging between fine and down sounds exhausting.
Excellent! I must drop by and read it sometime. What is the link again?
I found THIS LINK which might give some ideas on how to promote your work a bit more. I'm not sure how much it will help but it might spark some ideas.

It's ironic you asked that question about someone only honing in on your faults. My last post is about something similar.
Good luck on the novel! What's it about?
