First day
My first day is now done and dusted. I feel slightly relieved and incredibally exhausted.
There is so much to take in and it's practically all new to me. I will feel much happier when I actually feel like I know what I am doing! I have to learn three new computer programmes and have a different username/password for each. I've been handed 3 HUGE bunches of keys which I am in charge of (but am not entirely sure which libraries/cupboards they are for) and tons of other stuff.
But on the plus side everyone is LOVELY! The four of us who will be working closest together got bought lunch on the company account as a way of welcoming me, which was really nice.
There are about 30 people in the whole production apartment so I don't remember anyones name really! Eep! But as I am to distribute the post and wage slips I guess I will get a good idea of who everyone is.
There was such a lot to take in that I was starting to get really tired by the end of the day and I didn't even work a full day! Tomorrow I start at 8:30 and work through to 4:30 (I did 9:30-4:30 today) so I guess in a way I've been eased into it a bit.
I have had to order a new birth certificate cause apparently the one I have isn't a full one as it doesn't have my mum and dads name on it. Thankfully my mum brought it for me as I am skint until I get paid. Seems a bit of a waste of £25 though I do need it to prove that I'm not an illegal immigrant.
Righteo just a short one today am far too tired of computers to write anymore (what I'm writing probably doesn't make sense anyway!)
