"Does that come with knickers?"
Anyone who watched last nights Ashes to Ashes will understand the title. The.best.fucking.episode.EVER. Seriously.
I've started to really like Alex now, I wasn't too keen on her after the first few eps prob cause she wasn't Sam.
But sweet holy Jesus, this episode this episode had it all:
+ A great plot that harkened back to the days of Life on Mars where the physical effects of the (for want of a better word) 'real' world were felt in 1981. IE Alex's coldness and connection issues.
+ Humour- I laughed heartily at Chris inability to understand that money laundering does not involve putting money in the washing machine LOL! Then the bin searches which uncovered Gene's porn drawing! Lol. Love it.
+ GENE!!! He was just so freakin' cute/funny/bastardish/amazing. Seriously, how Alex resists I don't know. He may have a slightly ugly mug but damnit!!!! I sooo would!
+ The best music from 1981!! YAY!!!

Then on top of that we get a fucking excellent-yet-soul-destroying-omg-i-didn't-see-that-coming episode of LOST! *tears* I won't say anymore because I don't want to spoil anyone! But thoughts, please people!!!!

I guess you've all kind of figured out by now that I didn't get the job I went for last week. I was a bit gutted about it at the time but I'm over it now. I went for an interview yesterday. I hadn't really wanted to go and I didn't really think I would like it. But the place was lovely and the boss was really, really nice. I think I could be really happy working with him cause he seems genuinely nice. The jobs a little mundane and repetitive (his words not mine) but hey, its experience. I might be able to get an internal promotion if I work hard but if not at least I will have more experience so would find it easier to find a slightly higher positioned job next year. I won't be crying myself to sleep if I don't get called back to the 2nd wave of interviews but I will be happy if I do.
This weekend feels like its going to be a bit hectic. Today we've got someone bring back one of the puppies from the litter we had last year. They've had a change in circumstance and there is no way they can keep him so we are going to have him back and try and find him a forever home. We have someone interested and they will come and see him tomorrow. We don't want to sell him, we really don't want to make any money out of the horrible situation instead we are focusing on finding him a nice home that he will stay in forever. We know quite a few people who would like to see him if the people tomorrow aren't interested for whatever reason.
On top of that we have another one of the puppies (which was my personal favourite) coming back tomorrow though its not staying. The couple who have her are so in love with her they would never part with her but they always said they would bring her back so we could see how she was doing so that will be really nice.
Tonight I'm going out for a meal with my friend Kirsty and tomorrow I'm going to the cinema with another friend. Then tuesday its pub quiz night! YAY! Then hopefully I should be going to the cinema with Oraclesmaiden next week to see 'The Cottage'.
Mum and Dad are going away good friday and are coming back easter sunday so I shall have the house to myself (& 8 dogs, 2 horses, 3 ferrets and some chickens to look after). Yay! Lol. Hopefully this horrid lingering cold will have disappeared by then.
