Week 7 o.O meh, almost there...
Sorry to leave everyone hanging from my last entry; how rude of me.
Announce something to everyone and leave it at that, without anything
further? Craziness, I know. Hmm, this weekend....
Friday~ Classes until 1pm, then I rode the bus downtown with Irene and Rob, and wandered State Street. We browsed a couple shops before hitting up The Habit for hamburgery goodness and milkshakes. Mmm. After that, Rob went one way, and Irene and I went the other after we'd decided to meet up a little before 5pm in the Paseo Nuevo plaza. Irene and I crashed Macy's, and I finally have a new pair of sunglasses! Yay! No more days of squinting in the Santa Barbara sun for me. We stayed there for most of the time, then Irene wanted a Jamba Juice, so we wandered over, and then met up with Rob.
BFOM was going to perform in front of the plaza fountains for the general public as a fundraiser for the group. Sometime next year, they're going to Chicago for an A Cappella competition. They sang for about an hour and a half, with breaks of course. They ended up making close to $200, which is awesome. Rob and Irene departed for the bus stop, and I hung around and waited for Bryce to finish up with the boys. Then we wandered down the street a bit and decided on Pascucci's for dinner. (Absolutely awesome Italian food) After dinner, we walked down to the wharf (I'd never been). It was a good 15 minute walk too, but I didn't mind. It started getting cold, so we headed for the car and drove home.
It musta been a long week for everyone, cause we got back around 9:30ish and the majority of the group had gone to bed/ were doing their own thing in their rooms. I discovered this after changing clothes and heading back over to the guys' suite, and only seeing Rob, Bryce and Arthur in the common room. I crashed on the dog bed next to Bryce and shortly after doing so, fell asleep. We dozed in and out for a bit, cause I remember people going in and out of the suite. Then I konked out for a good two hours, waking up around 12:30am.
Saturday~ Procrastinated like a mofo most of the day. I was chinchilla sitting for Cara, while she had gone to Ren Faire with Richard and Emily. I reeeeally wanted to go, but I had way too much to do. That night Ryan was having a dance party at his place around 10pm, so Irene, Rob, Bryce and I went. It totally rocked. I had lots of fun. Ryan is sooo much fun to dance with. I also sampled a tonic and vodka, and Bacardi Coconut and Superior drinks. Mayra showed up later. She stayed a bit longer than the rest of us. The music started to get more mundane (think the songs from high school dances-rap, hip-hop, etc.) and more people that even Ryan didn't know were showing up. Irene went home, Rob went to bed, and Bryce and I ended up staying up until 4:30ish, I think? Just lounging around and talking. I was sleepy, so I maybe remember half of what we talked about.
Sunday~ Work, work and more work. Had Woodstock's with Irene around 4pm. Had to watch TV for a Linguistics homework assignment, which took bloody forever. Bryce came over a bit later, and asked if I wanted to go over to DJ's house (one of the guys in BFOM) for a movie and cake. Sounded good to me, so we got over there a little after 10pm. Watched Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle and had cookies and brownies. People left shortly after; we stayed and helped Dj clean up, then headed home.
Yeah, so that was my weekend. It was fun. And I reeeeeally don't feel like doing any work, anymore this quarter. Oi. Cest la vie, right? Ok, soooo, off to do more work. Yay....not.
