Semi-funny McDonald's story
And before I forget, thanks to everyone for their song suggestions. It's going to be difficult to pick from all of them!
Last Friday I picked J up from work - - we were going through Eastman so he could get a haircut, then meeting his dad at the house in Rhine so they could load one of our refrigerators and bring it here.
J was hungry, so we went through the drive-through at McDonald's. He got a Quarter Pounder combo and I just got a large Coke, as I didn't have lunch until late. After we ordered, we were still sitting in front of the order thing, and someone inside accidentally hit the intercom and we got to hear a fascinating and profane discussion about someone who was supposed to show up for work and didn't. The last thing we heard was a frightened "Oooh!" when the chick realized.
We were still laughing when we made it to the pickup window(and kept bursting into laughter when either of us said "Oooh" afterward). The chick gave us our drinks, then asked us what we ordered. I told her, and she handed me a bag. It felt sort of heavy, so I told J to see if it was right. it wasn't. I had to park and take it inside, where they gave me the right one(from the counter where they'd just given me the wrong one) and told me to keep the other order, too. So, we got what we ordered, *plus* 2 Big Macs, a McChicken Sandwich, and large fries, all for $6.30. Not a bad deal.
