There's good news - - the doctor says she doesn't believe it could be a tumor, and his kidney and liver are fine.
The bad news is he has to cut out sugar. And drink diet soda, which will be his biggest problem, as he can't stand diet drinks.
He has a follow up in three weeks, and she ordered more blood work, to make sure his potassium(which was 3.1 when they checked it) is better now. She also ordered some additional stuff, too.
All in all, I'm not nearly so scared now. And this will be good for me, too - - if J's eating better, I will be, too.
I need advice from any of you who are diabetic or have a diabetic spouse/relative/friend. Tell me what I should be feeding J. And juice - - J loves OJ at breakfast, and now he's like, "What am I supposed to have instead?"
His appointment was at 3, but we just back, because we had dinner after, and went by Lowe's - - we had a $10 coupon, and J used it toward a saw he's been needing. And of course we walked all over the store. You know how guys get in Lowe's, but you know, I'm pretty bad, too. J had to look at the tools, I was looking at the stencil/sponge/stamp stuff(and I was disappointed - - no tatouage stuff, which is what I was looking for). We both looked at doors, as we need a new front door.
Anyway, exhausted, but relieved.
