We're alive. But between 2am and 4am Friday morning is the most scared I've evef been.i went back and forth between fervently praying and squeezing J's arm every time the wind gusted and destroyed something else.
We lost tin off the roof, but the worst part was our power feed was ripped off the wall and has to be fixed before the power company will hook up the electricity.
There are more limbs on the ground than in the trees. We finally cleared what was in front of the house.
We have water, we have hurricane food and cat food. All our babies are safe. I was worried about Tiger, but he came home yesterday!
Our water came back, albeit not at full force, but I have never been so glad to have a shower!
There is so much devastation. We went out Saturday to get a chain saw, solar thingy to charge phones, more food and water and cat food and toilet paper. Ice has been nearly impossible to find. Everywhere we went was in awful shape. Our bad neighbors had a tree fall on their car, and the nice neighbors had a tree fall in the middle of their house.
So, overall we're very lucky, just miserable because we're spoiled and have no fan or ac(me) and no video games(J).
No generator, so we're doing our best to cope. I've already had one meltdown.
I hope anyone else affected is okay.
