:) This turned out to be an incredible summer. There was a time when I couldn't imagine a fate worse than lolling about at home and not marching drum corps. But just enjoying where you are isn't bad either, and is a worth-while goal in itself. I learned how to swim pretty decently, got better at guitar (unfortunately I can't take it with me to Europe), hung out with my little sister who's growing up at an incredible rate, hung out with my former French prof quite a bit and it was amazing, what fascinating conversations we had, picked up some Spanish and can finally understand the Spanish I hear around me all the time - hung out with Sam, Ivan, and Vance a lot.. Went to Lake Havasu and Sequoia. it was great.. it was great.. :)
and it's only going to get better :) I'm leaving for the airport in half an hour (I can't wait for the four hour wait ahead of me)
