Uh-huh. Those that thought the title was referring to something different, you know who you are. Shame. Dirty minded people. Tsk. It's like y'all own apartment complexes in the gutter or something. (Oh, wait...that would be me. Nevermind.)
But, yes, the pussy.
I love cats. Love dogs too, but cats and I seem to always get along.
So I arrive back at the apartment way too early in the morning, and unload my blankets and laundry from Faire so I can do wash and repack the shit in the next couple days when I am not at work or frantically trying to find my next job and money. And I hear this "ooh! a person!" meow from under the car I parked behind. This chubby little kitty (well, full-grown cat) comes trotting up to me, mewing as though I was a long-lost friend or someone who would understand him.
Mind you, this is the edge of West Oakland here. Chubby kitties do not just randomly wander about here. AT FOUR IN THE FUCKING MORNING. So I bent down and petted him, finding amusement in the fact he was glued to my trouser legs.
But it was cold, and I needed to get in the house. So I started across the road to my porch...and he kept mewing and started running after me. I got to the door, started to go inside, and he attatched himself to my legs again.
It took all of three seconds for me to motion him into the house and close the door behind him.
I needed a friend in the wee hours of the morning, and I was gifted with one. One who purred contentedly and snuggled in my lap while I did work online, while I fretted about money, while I organized in my OCD manner when I am stressed. A friend who was content to do nothing but hang out and calm down.
My housemates leeft this morning about 7 am, and the cat and I had gone outside for a break right before that. He didn't come back inside after that break, but hung out on the porch. As the rest of my world got up, he suddenly just disappeared. He was merely there when I needed a companion, and then he was gone.
...Fate seems to be fondof me right now when the chips are down with gusto.
