Good grief!!!
Well this morning has started off with a bang. I'm not supposed to be at work til 11 today but I get woke up by screaming in my house at 7:30 this morning. My mother and brother are screaming at the top of their lungs so me and my dad both jump out of our beds and run into the kitchen trying to find out what's going on. Then my mom yells "SOMEONE JUST STOLE THE CAR!" Yep that's right folks they did. My mom had gotten our Impala out of the garage (which they are still paying on) to warm it up to take my brother to school. She had just come inside for a minute and before she could get my dad's keys to hit the button and lock the car she hears it rev up. So she opens the door and this black guy is backing out of our driveway in the car, of course headed to Detroit. The cop said he had just tired to carjack someone like 2 blocks down from us so he was running and it was an easy getaway. Hopefully we get it back but I'm not holding my breath. It's probably stripped by now and he'll get his drug money. The bad thing is he has our address, house keys, keys to my car and my dad's, and the garage door opener. Thank God mom didn't leave her purse in the car. So my brother re-programed the garage so that the opener this guy has won't work and now we are in the process of changing the locks on our house. My mom is a wreck needless to say. Who knows what will happen now. I know we have to wait 30 days until the insurance comapany can let us get a new car. Hopefully they can give us a check to buy a new car. I'm just praying this all works out for the best. If this is any indication of how the rest of the day goes I'd rather stay in bed. I'll keep ya posted on the details as they come along.
