Well, I shall be living in Gifu. 80 miles from Osaka, 30 miles from Nagoya, and 160 miles from Tokyo. Average temperature 60F. Unless you count the freezing winds from the surrounding mountains. Freezing winds. Gifu is the historical home of Oda Nobunaga. 0_o?!
I'm really disappointed, but I have to find something good about this. My year is not going to be what I planned it would be, but I am going to be living in Japan and I just have to keep my chin up.
On the plus side, I suppose, is that neither of my two roommates are American. One is from New Zealand and the other is from England. So that should be fun.
