Jupiter Khillian
With the loss of his wife, Jupiter becomes somewhat of a recluse. It's beginning to worry his sons.
"Dad, I know you still miss mom, but it's been a while now. Shouldn't you start dating again?"
"Yeah, pop. We all miss mom but it's not like we can stop living just because she's gone."
"I don't know guys. There's just a void now, with her gone."
"That's why you should go out. You don't even take calls from your friends anymore."
"But if I start hanging out with my friends, who's going to watch you guys?"
"Please, dad. Like you'd ever NOT be on top of things?"
Jupiter's not surprised by his sons' intervention. They're so much like their mother, so practical and hard to argue with.
There's one sim in particular he'd like to spend time with but it just doesn't seem right. He can't call him after how he ended it. It would just be too awkward.
Jupiter is spared having to make the first move when Onus shows up a few days later.
"Jupiter, I just wanted to see if you were ok. I'm sorry I didn't come sooner, but. . ."
"Nevermind, Onus, I'm just glad you're here. There are some sims I'd like you to meet."
"Jupiter, this is my oldest son, Montgomery. Montgomery, this is my good friend, Onus."
"WOW, it's great to finall meet you. Dad's been friends with you for so long, but none of us have ever met you."
"Uh, yeah."
"It's pretty funny, actually. Just the other morning Shamus and I kind of had an intervention with dad. He's been pretty messed up since losing mom. We told him he should start seeing his friends more and getting out of the house. He was turning into a hermit or something."
Onus wonders how much Montgomery really knows.
"Hey, I'm Angus. Dad said I should introduce myself. So you're the guy who used to call dad all the time?"
"Yeah, that's me."
"Dad says you have an alien daughter. How old is she?"
"She's a teenager."
"So when the aliens took you, did they mess around with you, with probes and stuff?"
"Uh. . ."
"Shamus says that when aliens take you, it's not considered an affair. You've been in the space ship, do you think it's an affair?"
Onus finds Angus more than a little disturbing.
"How's it going, Onus? I know it must be weird, meeting my kids and all that."
"Well, not as weird as when you met mine."
"Huh, yeah, I guess so."
"Did you meet Shamus yet?"
"So you're that guy who used to call dad all the time, huh?"
"Yeah, still me."
"Hmm, you look very familiar. Have we met before?"
"No, I don't think so."
"THAT'S IT! I know why you look so familiar. Do you have a daughter named Patchioulianna.
"Yeah. Actually, I have five. . ."
"FIVE daughters? I've met Patchioulianna and Peppermint and dad said you had an alien daughter. Does he know about your other two daughters?"
"Uh, yeah."
"Why didn't he ever mention them, I wonder."
Things aren't going so well with Shamus, either.
Jupiter is very happy to have Onus back. Soon, it's like they were never apart.
It's a little strange, Onus in the bed he shared with Viola, but it doesn't slow him down any.
Being with Onus is just so comfortable. They're so relaxed, in fact, Onus ends up spending the night.
Thankfully, Onus wakes up early enough to sneak a bath before the boys get up.
And still get a goodbye kiss from Jupiter before returning home.
Onus is around the house so much, it's like he's a member of the family.
Jupiter's beginning to think it's time to explain their relationship to the boys.
"Dad, you told us Onus had twin daughters and an alien daughter, but he said he has five kids total, not three."
"Oh, I must have mentioned it before. He also has another set of twins. Girls. One looks just like him and one is green."
"One alien and one not? Was he abducted a second time?"
"Well. . ."
"Come on Shamus, get ready for school."
Phew, saved by the bus.
