This is in response to Pixel's "come on, madame, you know you want to, all the COOL kids are doing it too" post about the camera mod that everyone and their eleventyhundred year old granny uses (but not me, I'm behind the times apparently).

Now in my defense, I was definitely going to put this mod in and try it out for my Top Model project.  I just ( Read more... )

If it helped any, I don't use camera mods either. ^_~ I kept hearing about how they make your game so dark (common complaint in thesims2, anyway)

Hmm, I'll have to watch if it makes things darker.

*snicker* But I'm so bad about forgetting to put up lights, I might not notice!

You're thinking of a different mod. There are a number of mods to make the lighting more dramatic, but it has nothing to do with the camera mod.

I'm already thinking the "why didn't I do this sooner" when I was getting my toddler spam.

You can zoom right in on those little boogers!

I'm another that doesn't use camera mods. I do, however, ride the pause button =P

Mind you, that carousel image is creepy. It looks innocent enough, but the snow & the trees & the image framing screams horror theme to me (& had me looking for the killer waiting in the trees).

Wow, there are more no camera folks than I thought.

I think I'll play with it for a while. I do like it for being able to "go low".

I think that carousel pic is creepy, too, that's why I like it.

That is SO FREAKING KEWL.

I've thought about getting that mod. Is it easy to use? *is scared*

I'm all about the angles when it comes to sim pictures. This mod sounds like it would be right up my alley!

Yeah, it's pretty easy to use. I haven't been frustrated by it yet.

And the bit o' lag I was having must have just been due to the snow on the Pleasantview Ottomas lot (it was actively snowing). When I was in perpetual summer Peculiar, I didn't notice anything like I did in Pleasantview.

You don't use that mod already? I really thought you used it, judging by your shots. You must have just been like me before the mod - taking WAY too long to get the angles right. You should get it.

Yes I do take forever long to get some of the shots I want... it's frustrating!

I think I'll have to revisit getting that mod. It's be worth it for nothing else than to get up close and personal with the toddlers, lol!
