5 hr interview?

You gotta be kidding me! I got in at 9am and got out at 2. I don't think I took particularly long at any one thing. I was given a few tests:

  1. Color/Tone test: Farnsworth-Munsell 100- tests how well you see tones & hues
  2. Computer literacy test: Create shipping labels, create a word document and business letter, create a tracker, create an inventory, make a pptx
  3. Color knowledge: what are primary, secondary, complimentary, etc
  4. Product test: "Find the truest blue red" "Find the truest pink-yellow" etc
  5. Product evaluation: Product x: what's its color, texture, feel, coverage
And about 6 interviews all the way up to the President. The bad part is by the time you get to the president you are spent, and I think at one point I started talking over her head when I was talking about the psychology of costumer decision making given information knowledge. So I stopped and gave examples to fix it, then moved on to the next subject.

So what is this job? Essentially I would be developing items that are the next "it" item. So pay attention to trends, breakthrough formulations, colors, fashion week, etc and be responsible for creating those products that then get sold to companies like Stila, MAC, Lime Crime, etc. It's create and analytical and everything I would want in a job. And it's cosmetics. Yes.

So fingers crossed. Toes and eyes, too.
