Big interview

Oct 30, 2014 00:38

Though I haven't caught up on what's happened and grad school and stuff (yet), I'm gonna post about right now. As in tomorrow. I have an interview for a company that develops products for MAC, Estee Lauder, etc. If all works out swell I would be helping develop products, make new ones, etc with the consumer in mind. Essentially I would be a makeup professional. I'm so excited about this opportunity. They sent an email yesterday asking me to bring a portfolio. Bad thing? I don't have a tab to show one off on. So...I plan on emailing the portfolio previous to the interview. I feel so lame not owning a tab but I don't have the need for one. If I get the job, though, I will buy one.

At that, I didn't even have a portfolio. I never expected to have to show a makeup portfolio. It's not something I thought I would get in to, but then I found this job doing research and design in cosmetics and now I was asked. They are huge on having a passion for makeup, and hey, that's something I have. And be analytical? Yes, can do both!

And the job pays extremely well from the get-go. Like, I could afford my own place in Los Angeles and not have to worry about someone else helping. Fortuneatly, the job is in Ventura County so I wouldn't even have to worry that much about money since prices are cheaper here. So awesome!
