Diseased
On the 4th of July I woke up with pain on my tonsils which I first figured was from smoking the night before. The next day the pain was still there but it began to be familiar pain, the pain I get when I have a swollen spot on my tonsil. No biggie that comes and goes in a few days. Today I woke up, pain still there but I decided to have a glace in my throat at my tonsils - didn't see the red swell I get from time to time (something that's happened since I was a child). I left the bathroom mirror, chewed a halls, let it be. Later, as I was sitting watching a movie the pain came back. I stuck my finger down my throat trying to find the red swollen spot by touch and I found a tiny bump in the back of my mouth. Now that I knew the area I went back to the bathroom mirror with a flash light to inspect the area and saw the little flesh colored bump, along with two others in the same vicinity. I went to poke one and it was sore. In fact, the whole area around it was tender. WTF?
So I googled. Took my temp (very slight temp <1 degree/1 degree). Did a warm salt water rinse (well that stings) Called the doctors nurse for advice if I should go in. Currently awaiting a call back.
During google, of course, I become massive paranoid seeing all the gross mouth infections one can have. Strep throat looks DISGUSTING! Omg, what if it's strep? HOLY SMOKES! Look at those oral stds! Oh my gawd, what if I have an oral std somehow? You name it, I got frightened by it :(
