I think it's important to have goals, no matter what I do. It helps keep some semblance of organization, and it helps me evaluate what I'm doing, how I'm doing, and monitor my time management skills. So I'm going to use this post as my goals tracker. I'll post projects that I want to do, long term things I would like to do, and ideas for future goals.
So let's get started!
1) I want to finish my FHU Sampler Afghan.
-Based on the Leisure Arts 63 Sampler Stitches to Crochet (By Darla Sims)
-Maroon, Gold, and White colors, worsted weight acrylic.
-On square 6 of 63
-I want to be done by June 2, but if that won't happen, then by August 10th.
2) I want to make at least two prayer shawls by the end of the year
-1 for myself, and 1 to give away. (Or two to give away!)
-A lot of people have helped me get to where I am, and I want to thank them by making something.
I have 4 people in mind, and I will eventually make each of them a prayer shawl (amongst other things most likely) but for now, I want to pick one to make something for, and I want it to be a pattern that I think they'll like and in colors that they'll like, so it will be specialized (Guess it will depend on who's shawl will have the easiest pattern!)
3) I want to make a really fun shawl with pockets
-This is the pattern that I found:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cabled-pocket-shawl -Not sure what color yet, but it looks like it'll be fun~ (AND functional!)
4) I want to make 3 cross stitch/needlepoint wall hangings.
-I have scads and scads of embroidery floss, and I hate to have it just sitting around
-I have several ideas/samples of things that I could make
-They make some really pretty gifts
-Easy patterns.
5) I want to start knitting again
-This will be integral to accomplishing Goal #2 and Goal #3.
6) I want to make a hat
-My fiber-mama Jenn recently bought a pattern book with a lovely knitted vest in it, and it has some really pretty hats.
-I intend to take one of those patterns and make myself a pretty hat for the winter. (not that I'll really NEED it in Tennesse....)
