favorite female writers/poets with themes of madness?:
favorite books on madness?: Sybil by Flora Rheta Schreiber, The Bell Jar by Silvia Plath, And I don't want to live this life by Deborah Spungen, Go Ask Alice by Anon.(well not so much madness if it weren't for the drugs)
favorite films which document or hint at "women & madness"?: i love the scene in the Hamlet movie with Kate Winsley with Ophelia and her insanity, i liked Girl intterupted, i LOVED the exorsism of Emily Rose...
favorite quote, or line from one of the authors/poets/books/film stated above?: i am one of those girls who takes a book that she loves, and underlines passages that she loves. the Bell Jar is FULL of underlining... at my step-mothers house... so none for now. sorry.
do you have personal experiences which have been touched on in this community?: I am in my 3rd year of the honours psychology program at the University of Ottawa, and i also suffer from depression. i haven't really looked around too too much, so i am not sure what the community has touched on that i am related to.
