“So they think the world will end in the year 1000?”
“Yes, round number you see.”
“But that’s supposed to be from Jesus’ birth, not creation. And they don’t have the right number for that either.”
“New Years, stroke midnight.”
“Midnight in what part of the world?”
“Maybe it’ll happen bit by bit. Slowly going around the world leaving only death and destruction behind.” He sighed heavily and took another deep drink. “Everything just ... gone!”
Aziraphale suppressed a sigh of his own. “Crowley, it’s not going to actually happen.”
A New Year The end happens in winter. It is strangely fitting, after all; winter is death, but this time there are no hidden seeds of new life that will bloom in time

I was staring at the form again. All it would take to make it final was sending it in. So why did I still hesitate? Truth to tell, I didn't know. Whyever was I even thinking about swapping my easy life of living off of my heritage, studying whatever struck my fancy and doing what I pleased without a care in the world for what was likely going to be a nightmare of semi-military discipline, lots of studying and boredom while I was at the academy?
Granted, the adventure offered after that would be worth it. Maybe

"It's not proven it's not harmful," Sandy claimed. "And it tasted horrible."
"You loved it until you learned what it was," I retorted. "And in case you haven't figured, I was raised on natural food

This is really interesting! I really enjoyed it and I like Peter. :D Love the little details of life in the future, and if you have more stories featuring Peter, I would love to read them. :D
I love this! It's so beautiful, and the reduced colours in the lower part make the firework stand out great! We should find a way to use this for the game, as an icon or something, if you're okay with it Sphinx!

“Not?” the demon asked hopefully.
“They’ve got the wrong date!”
