This time I didn't even mind the throwing of stuff, because man was Merlin waiting for it! He would have been disappointed if Arthur hadn't thrown anything after him.
Aaaaaaaaaah thanks for the reminder of Uther's reaction to Arthur (faking) losing a bet to Morgana! That was a good scene.
I really don't get the attraction of Cenred but now you mention him on a pull with Gwaine I kind of see it :D
And that scene of the four of them (Arthur, Merlin, Gwen and Morgana) together on horseback, with Arthur suggesting Gwen should protect Merlin was lovely. Damn I miss Morgana really being part of that group
( ... )
I didn't mind this throwing scene (or the pillow last week) as isolated incidents, I just wish we didn't have Arthur throwing stuff at Merlin every week, you know?
The scenes we did get with Gwen and Merlin were absolutely lovely, it's just that with the way Merlin was sort of moving in towards her at the end of the bit in the hall, I was instinctively expecting a hug, so when they cut away I was all NOOOOooooo. But I did really like him worrying and looking after her. :D
That said, oh, his face when he looked back at Merlin after asking Gwen to keep an eye on him in battle. Suspect that was more Bradley than Arthur, but I'll take it.
Definitely the best part of the show.
Although I liked the bit in the dungeons when Merlin kept pressing Arthur about the torture. (Do you meditate?)
And Arthur grabbing his sword back from Merlin was cute.
I was sure the writers wouldn't remember that Gwen's father died, but they fooled me.
